There are many hair supplements on the market, what makes Healthy Hair different?
- Well first off, it is NOT just an overpriced multivitamin with a megadose of biotin + collagen; it has up-to-date dosages of thoroughly researched ingredients that support hair health and growth. Healthy Hair contains 600mcg Biotin while most other hair supplements contain upwards of 3000mcg! That much biotin is not necessary but biotin does make the hair more resistant to falling out.
- Secondly, it has COPPER along with zinc rather than just zinc alone! Copper is a cofactor to zinc, so when you take zinc you should also be taking the right amount of copper otherwise your copper levels will get depleted. Copper is an important and overlooked mineral for hair. It is good for circulation to hair follicles, hair strength and maintaining hair color.
- It was important to me that minerals such as selenium and iodine were not included. Many people with hair concerns have an underlying thyroid condition and depending on the thyroid condition. While some people may need and do well with iodine and/or selenium supplementation, others do not. Health Hair is not meant to address the thyroid’s impact on hair; if you do need iodine or selenium then you can comfortably take it separately without worrying about taking too much by adding Healthy Hair to your regimen.
- Most hair supplements only contain herbs/nutrients that target the impact of androgens on hair. Healthy Hair contains herbs/nutrients that target the impact of BOTH androgens and excess estrogens on the hair follicle.
Since it takes 3 months to move through the hair growth cycle, it is best to take Healthy Hair for 3 months.
Directions: take 3 capsules per day with a meal. The dose can be split if preferred but to ensure consistency, I recommend taking them all together.
